Mission Regional Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment by disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms and common areas, disposing of waste per protocols, and restocking supplies. The EVS Tech will travel between hospital areas as needed, respond to spills, and support infection control initiatives.

A high school diploma is preferred and one year of EVS experience in acute care is desirable; strong reading and communication

Formación

• 1 year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques preferred
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively

Responsabilidades

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections
• Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently
