Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Greenville is seeking a dependable Environmental Services Technician (EVS)/Housekeeper to join our team. This position maintains a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff throughout the hospital.

The Environmental Services Technician performs cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation duties while adhering to infection prevention and safety standards to support a therapeutic healthcare setting and compliance with hospital

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in hospital, healthcare, or janitorial setting preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be dependable and able to work weekends/holidays.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, offices, treatment areas, restrooms, and common areas.
Clean, disinfect, and sanitize all hospital areas per infection control procedures.
Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
Maintain a safe environment by securing supplies and equipment.
Follow infection prevention, safety, and hospital protocols.
Assist with weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
