Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) technician to thoroughly clean assigned areas, including furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs, and restrooms, while observing isolation procedures and infection prevention standards.

You will replenish supplies, maintain EVS closets and equipment, and coordinate with departments for upcoming projects, ensuring safety and accuracy in all cleaning tasks. Mercyhealth offers comprehensive benefits and career opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs and restrooms.
• Perform high and low dusting, mop floors, vacuum carpet, and clean doors and vents.
• Maintain EVS closet/equipment and report safety hazards to supervisor.
• Replenish paper, soap, and hand sanitizer; hang cubicles/drapes per policy.
• Coordinate special projects with departments and post informational signs.
• Move furniture and supplies following safety procedures; seek help when needed.
• Mix/store chemicals safely, use PPE, and follow dilution guidelines.
• Follow isolation procedures and infection prevention standards.

Education
