Job summary

Optum is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatments, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients within a home care plan of care established with the supervising Physical Therapist.

The role requires current licensure to assist in physical therapy, a valid driver's license, and weekend availability. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to monitor patient responses and support mobility and functional goals in diverse home environments.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed PT assistant in the state of practice.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to reliable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education per the plan of care.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADL, and transfer training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team and educate patient and family on therapy within scope.
• Function effectively in diverse home environments and with patients of all backgrounds.
