Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education within a home care plan of care.

You will follow state laws, assist with active and passive exercises, document responses, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a supervising PT and care team. Weekend rotation is required to support patient needs.

Formación

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance or access to reliable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification desired or obtainable within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Follow state laws governing physical therapy in home care and adhere to the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, functional tasks, ADLs, and safety.
• Observes and records patient responses, coordinating with supervising PT and care team.
• Educates patient, family, caregiver, and other health team members on therapy within scope of PTA.
• Function in diverse home settings and with various patient needs.
