Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care in Wake County,NC on a PRN, day-shift schedule. You will work under a licensed PT to implement the plan of care in home health settings, documenting patient responses and adapting treatment as needed.

The role emphasizes supervision, coordination with the care team, and maintaining patient confidentiality while supporting wellness and prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program as set by CAPTE.
• One year of PTA experience in home health care preferred.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a PT and based on the plan of care.
• Document patient responses and changes to treatment in the medical record.
• Promote wellness and prevention and coordinate with care team.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinate follow-up care with the admitting agency and other providers.
