Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist for home health to assess and address functional status, activities of daily living, and adaptive equipment needs in patients’ homes. You will work with a care team to develop and monitor plans of care and document patient progress.

The role requires valid OT licensure in the relevant state, driving access, and strong communication skills. A patient-centered approach with independence and multitasking ability is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides service within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing Occupational Therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other health care team members.
• Evaluates the patient’s functional status and needs; consults with physician in developing therapy plan of care.
• Observes, records, and reports patient response to treatment and changes to condition.
• Conducts patient assessments evaluating level of function using diagnostic and prognostic tests.
• Function in home settings regardless of client demographics.
