Job summary

Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties (CAPBM) seeks a Home-Based Specialist to lead planning, implementation, coordination, training and evaluation of the Home-Based Early Head Start program in Belknap and Merrimack Counties.

You will oversee curriculum implementation, train visiting teams, and collaborate with Education/Site Managers to maintain enrollment and high-quality services for children prenatal to age 5, with a focus on family goals and data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field.
• Five years of experience teaching young children; 2 years supervisory or management level experience preferred.
• Knowledge of needs of children with disabilities; experience observing and programming for children and experience in facilitating inclusive environments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Head Start policies and Childcare Licensing; experience with program development, implementation, operation, evaluation and fiscal management preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Successful completion of criminal record check; CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing training and professional development of the home visiting team.
• Coordinate with Education/Site Managers and Home-Based Services Managers to support transitions between programs.
• Oversee home-based curriculum (prenatal to 5 years) and family goal-setting practices.
• Ensure enrollment goals for the Home-Based Program are met.
• Collect program data and share information to improve participant and staff experiences.
