Job summary

Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties, Inc. (CAPBM) is hiring a Head Start Assistant Teacher for the 2023-24 school year in Concord, NH.

This full-time role (35 hours per week, Monday–Friday) supports preschoolers' cognitive, social, and emotional development under the Lead Teacher. You will assist in planning daily activities, engage with children and families, and help maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment while adhering to NH childcare licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; CDA Credential; NH licensing requirements.
• Experience: Previous experience in an early childhood classroom.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to income-eligible families.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in planning and providing quality educational experiences for preschoolers.
