Job summary

Summer Search in the United States is seeking a dedicated High School Mentor to advance our mission of equity and opportunity. You will mentor a caseload of high school students, facilitate in-person and remote group sessions, and build strong relationships with partner schools to expand college access.

This hybrid, in-person/remote role in King County requires data entry in Salesforce, participation in events, and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with student populations served by Summer Search (e.g., low-income families, students of color, English Language Learners).
• Group facilitation experience is strongly desired.
• Academic or applied knowledge of adolescent development and restorative/transformative justice is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mentor a caseload of 36–44 high school participants, building relationships and mentoring at school, in our office or by phone.
• Conduct bi-weekly group mentoring sessions for sophomores and juniors – in person.
• Support and/or lead outreach presentations and workshops for prospective students and provide 1:1 follow up as needed.
• Maintain meticulous data collection in Salesforce to meet program metrics and goals.
• Participate in staff development and contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Attend regional events and support participant-facing activities.
