Job summary

Summer Search Bay Area is seeking a High School Mentor to manage a caseload of up to 44 high school students, building long-term relationships and providing regular mentoring through a combination of groups and individual conversations from sophomore year through junior year of high school.

Joining a supportive program team that serves over 100 high school students this coming year, you will apply Summer Search’s mentoring approach, prepare students for two challenging summer experiences,

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience working with student populations served by Summer Search.
• Group facilitation experience is strongly desired.
• Understanding of adolescent development and restorative/transformative justice is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mentor a caseload of up to 44 high school participants with regular mentoring at school, in the office, or by phone.
• Conduct bi‑weekly group mentoring sessions for sophomores and juniors, in person.
• Engage in community outreach, school partnerships, and stakeholder communication.
• Maintain meticulous data in Salesforce to support program metrics and evaluation.
