Job summary

Jewish Renaissance Foundation is seeking an Enrollment Navigator to provide free, unbiased enrollment help for Get Covered New Jersey. You will educate and assist individuals and families with eligibility and enrollment, focusing on uninsured and underserved populations.

The role requires state training completion, strong communication, and ability to handle confidential information, with travel for community events and open enrollment periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2-yr degree preferred.
• Experience in customer service, outreach, healthcare, social services, or public benefits preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with computers and online enrollment systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Bilingual Spanish, Hindi, or Gujarati highly desirable.
• Must complete Get Covered NJ Navigator training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one assistance to consumers applying for health insurance through Get Covered New Jersey.
• Offer neutral information on health coverage options without endorsing specific plans.
• Educate consumers on premiums, deductibles, and tax credits.
• Assist with Marketplace applications, plan comparisons, enrollment, and renewals.
• Explain insurance terminology and plan comparisons clearly and respectfully.
• Track outreach activities and enrollment metrics per program requirements.
• Assist eligible individuals with Medicaid/NJ Family Care transitions.
• Maintain Get Covered NJ records and designate as Enrollment Counselor where needed.
• Protect confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and privacy rules.
• Conduct public education events to raise awareness of Get Covered NJ and subsidies.
• Engage hard-to-reach populations and build partnerships with community organizations.
• Meet enrollment goals and stay current with Marketplace policies.
