Job summary

The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health in Palo Alto is seeking a Temporary Gift & Data Processing Specialist to support gift processing, donor records, and data quality during the year-end period.

This six-month, full-time assignment requires onsite presence (4 days/week at start; remote 1 day) and offers compensation of $30–34 per hour, with opportunities to contribute to CRM transformation and documentation.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in an administrative, database, or bookkeeping role.
• Experience doing complex data entry with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a busy environment.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and in compliance with applicable HIPAA requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Intermediate skill with Excel required.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people and to represent the Foundation professionally with excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Process routine gifts by following established procedures and detailed documentation to enter gift information accurately in the donor database.
• Prepare gift receipts and acknowledgments in accordance with Foundation practices and service expectations.
• Ensure the accuracy of gift data entry by performing daily audits and escalating exceptions as needed.
• Add, update, and correct information in constituent records using donor information and approved sources.
• Support the Gift Processing inbox and assist with donor and staff questions, escalating complex matters as needed.
• Assist with month-end reconciliation activities and the transfer of gifts to beneficiaries.
