Job summary

The UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Institute (LPPI) seeks a dynamic Development Coordinator to support fundraising initiatives and implement the institute's development plan. The role collaborates with LPPI leadership, staff, and UCLA Luskin School development team to advance LPPI's mission and long-term sustainability.

This hybrid position requires candidates to be based in Southern California and available for in-person meetings and travel for conferences or organizational activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of fundraising experience and/or related field experience.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with LPPI team, academic leaders, and development staff.
• Experience working with a dean or senior faculty or equivalent leadership at a similar organization.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and multi-phase projects from inception to completion under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication about UCLA’s fundraising goals and priorities for LPPI.
• Excellent written communication for business correspondence, solicitation materials, proposals, and reports.
• Impeccable integrity and discretion with donors and confidential information.
• Ability to travel and work some weekends/evenings as needed.
• Cover letter and resume submission is required.

Responsibilities

• Support LPPI's fundraising and development activities by implementing components of the development plan.
• Coordinate grant and donor engagement activities and conduct prospect research.
• Support proposal development and maintain development data and reporting.
• Assist with donor cultivation and stewardship in collaboration with LPPI leadership, staff, and UCLA Luskin School development team.
