Job summary

The UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Institute (LPPI) seeks a Development Coordinator to support fundraising, donor engagement, and grant activities. Under the Deputy Director, you will coordinate components of the development plan, maintain data and reporting, and assist with proposals and stewardship.

This hybrid role requires in-person meetings in Southern California and periodic travel. Candidates should have at least three years of fundraising experience, strong interpersonal and written

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of fundraising experience and/or related field experience.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with LPPI leadership and staff toward fundraising goals.
• Ability to work with a dean or senior faculty at a comparable organization.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and multi-phase projects to completion under deadlines.
• Excellent written communication to produce solicitation materials, letters, proposals, and reports.
• Impeccable integrity and discretion with donors and confidential information.
• Ability to travel and work some weekends/evenings as needed.
• Candidate must submit cover letter and a resume to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support LPPI fundraising and development activities by implementing components of the development plan.
• Coordinate grant and donor engagement activities.
• Conduct prospect research and assist with proposal development.
• Maintain development data and reporting.
• Assist with donor cultivation and stewardship.
• Collaborate with LPPI leadership and UCLA Luskin School development team to support fundraising initiatives.
