Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Full-Time Specimen Collector Phlebotomist in Indianapolis, IN. You will collect blood, urine, and saliva specimens, label and transport samples, and provide excellent patient and clinician service.

The ideal candidate is a certified phlebotomist with 1+ year of experience, strong computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience in the field (experience can substitute for certificate).
• 6+ months of specimen collection experience or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can substitute for medical experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping to the lab.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient and physician order information and pertinent lab details.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient data in the ordering portal.
• Order and maintain onsite collection supplies inventory.
• Observe collection procedures for Millennium Health specimens as applicable.
• Drive between multiple facilities as needed.
