Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Full-Time Specimen Collector Phlebotomist in Bedford, IN. You will collect blood, urine, and oral fluid specimens, process and package samples, and act as a liaison between clinics and our laboratory.

Strong customer service and phlebotomy skills are essential. The ideal candidate holds a phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience, with 1+ year in the field, and is comfortable using smartphones and computers.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience in the field (certificate optional).
• 6+ months of specimen collection experience or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience may substitute for medical experience.
• Ability to navigate a smartphone and computer is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine, and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as liaison between clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information, orders, and lab data.
• Resolve specimen concerns related to billing or patient information in the portal.
• Maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collections for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
• Travel to multiple facilities as needed.
