Job summary

Symons Fire Protection, Inc. in San Diego, CA seeks a dependable Project Coordinator to support daily coordination and administration of fire protection projects.

You will liaise between Project Managers, Superintendents, Designers, Sales, customers, and internal departments to maintain accurate records and drive project progress. The role requires strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities, with a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• One to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred experience as a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or in a similar construction or project-support role.
• Experience in fire protection, construction, engineering, or a related industry is a plus.
• Experience working with project management and/or accounting software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers, Superintendents, Designers, Sales, and other departments with daily project coordination needs.
• Maintain accurate and organized project information, records, and documentation.
• Enter and maintain project data, including building trend schedules and other project tracking information.
• Gather, organize, scan, upload, and file project documents as required.
• Read and comprehend construction blueprints, specifications, submittals, and related project documents.
• Review project information to help ensure required documentation is complete and accurate.
• Create RFIs and assist with tracking and closing RFI documentation.
• Assist with project closeout documentation and other required project records.
• Serve as a professional liaison between internal departments and customers/clients.
