BCFS Health and Human Services in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a Family Support Specialist to provide case management and crisis intervention for at‑risk youth and families. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate referrals, document services, and support positive outcomes for children ages 6‑18.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in a health and human services field is preferred.
• 4 years of experience providing direct services to at‑risk youth and families with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Provide case management and crisis intervention while ensuring compliance with state and federal standards.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual and family sessions using Motivational Interviewing.
• Facilitate the Strengthening Families Program virtually, in-office, or at other locations.
• Coordinate referrals, service planning, and documentation for assigned caseload.
• Respond to crises promptly and professionally during office visits, home visits, and by phone.
• Develop, monitor, and review treatment plans to increase strengths and address needs.
• Assist in emergency shelter placements and/or respite care when appropriate.
• Report suspected abuse or neglect to program supervisor and relevant authorities.
• Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and UPCA events.
• Participate in weekly supervision with the supervisor.
• Travel to client homes and partner locations as needed.
• Meet deadlines per program and state/federal partners.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold BCFS HHS standards.
