Job summary

Katmai is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive NP services in a military medical facility. You will supervise general screenings, perform medical exams for routine to complex conditions, immunizations, and counseling, while adhering to privileges and protocols.

You will collaborate with physicians, order diagnostics, and manage medications. Emphasis on preventive care, patient education, and continuous quality improvement in a secure, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• MSN in Nursing with specialization as a family nurse practitioner and national certification.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with Advanced Practice privileges.
• Minimum 24 months of outpatient family medicine experience.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider CPR.
• Ability to obtain required site security and immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma.
• Collaborate with physicians for chronic care management.
• Refer or consult with physicians or clinics as indicated.
• Order diagnostic tests as applicable.
• Prescribe and dispense medications per policy.
• Promote preventive care and annual physicals.
• Coordinate patient care to achieve quality and cost-effective outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and standards.
