Katmai Government Services seeks a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner to deliver full-spectrum NP services at a military treatment facility in Nevada. You will supervise and provide general screening, medical care, and examinations for routine, acute, and chronic conditions, including immunizations, under privileges granted by the Commanding Officer.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner specialization
• Current national certification by ANCC or AANP
• Active RN license at Advanced Practice level and ability to practice independently in US jurisdictions
• Minimum 24 months of outpatient family medicine experience within last 36 months
• Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification
• Must meet site health screening and immunization requirements
• Must obtain required security access and/or background checks
• Must complete credentialing documents per Katmai's Credentialing Specialist

Responsabilités

• Treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses or minor trauma within established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians in the care of patients with chronic illnesses
• Order diagnostic tests and refer as indicated
• Prescribe and dispense medications as delineated by policy
• Promote preventive care and health maintenance through education
• Coordinate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes
• Ensure compliance with care standards and facility policies
• Provide orientation and support to new personnel
• Participate in committees and contribute to process improvement
