Job summary

Katmai is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive NP services in a military treatment setting in Colorado Springs. The role includes supervising and performing routine examinations, immunizations, and management of acute and chronic conditions within established protocols.

The NP will collaborate with physicians, order tests, prescribe medications, and contribute to preventive health education. Must hold MSN‑FNP and current national certification with an active RN license.

Qualifications

• MSN in nursing with family nurse practitioner specialization and accredited by a national nursing accrediting agency.
• Current national certification by ANCC or AANP.
• Active, unrestricted RN license and APN licensure for the U.S. jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Provide NP services within privileges granted by the CO, including screening, examinations, immunizations and care for acute and chronic conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians for chronic disease management.
• Order diagnostic tests and refer as needed.
• Prescribe and dispense medications per policy.
• Promote preventive care and health maintenance through education and counseling.
