Job summary

Chief Seattle Club is seeking an Eviction Prevention Case Manager to provide culturally competent housing case management to members and report to the Housing Program Manager. The role requires in-person meetings, intake processing, and coordination with partnering agencies.

The position emphasizes serving homeless and low-income AI/AN communities, maintaining a large caseload, and safeguarding confidentiality while applying trauma-informed practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent working experience.
• One year of case management or closely related experience.
• Experience with Native communities or strong awareness of Native culture.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provides coordinated services with multiple Chief Seattle Club partnering agencies; meet performance objectives.
• Maintain a regular caseload of about 30 households with annual goal of 100 served.
• Provide utility assistance by managing subsidies and enrolling households in city programs.
• Track budgets, prepare deliverables, and compute numbers accurately.
• Conduct initial intakes for incoming members and establish housing plans.
• Maintain confidential, accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Communicate changes to CSC personnel and adjust services as needed.
• Speak directly with landlords on rental issues and manage tense conversations.
