Manhattan Institute for Policy Research (MI) is hiring an Event Associate to join our New York City headquarters team. The role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders on our in-person and virtual events, supporting venue and vendor outreach, and assisting with project management across events both on-site and off-site.

The successful candidate will work with the VP of Strategy & Communications and the Director of Events & Strategic Partnerships, handling event logistics,

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–2 years in nonprofit, hospitality, or PR preferred.
• Interest in MI policy priorities and MI Fellows.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Mansioni

• Liaise with vendors, venues, and colleagues during all stages of the event process
• Manage event set-up, check-in, and tear down process
• Manage event lists, RSVPs, and guest lists
• Manage the events pipeline calendar
• Produce virtual events (training included)
• Some evenings required
