Job summary

Xcel Energy in Minnesota offers an engineering internship for current students and juniors, with in-person Hybrid work. You will help facilitate program implementation, review customer projects, support team members, and tackle key process improvements.

The role focuses on the equipment used by commercial and industrial customers and how we interact with them, providing hands-on experience in energy efficiency, electrification, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027).
• Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Engineering.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• This position will help facilitate program implementation, reviewing customers projects, supporting team members, and tackle key process improvement projects.
• Position will focus on equipment which commercial and industrial customers use and how we interact with them.
