Job summary

LIFESPAN Services is hiring Employment Specialists to develop relationships with local employers, creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to obtain job placements.

This full-time Direct Care role is in Greensboro, offering flexible schedules, paid training, and benefits for full-time staff. You will mentor coworkers, coordinate transports, and ensure records meet standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check
• Pass driving record check if providing transportation
• High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
• Current First Aid/CPR certification required or training provided by American Red Cross
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime

Responsibilities

• Facilitate onsite job instruction and place individuals in suitable roles
• Average of 12 job placements per fiscal year
• Ensure goals and plans are implemented
• Act as liaison between employer and employee to meet needs
• Transport individuals safely between locations
• Market to prospective employers to secure job placements
• Complete intakes and maintain records
• Mentor individuals to build social skills
• Provide follow-along support and guidance
• Submit accurate billing weekly by deadlines
• Complete initial and ongoing training and participate in staff development
• Meet Quarterly Revenue Objectives
