Job summary

AbleLight seeks a dedicated Employment Specialist to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in obtaining meaningful employment. The role emphasizes building a business pipeline, client relationships, and compliant documentation.

You will partner with schools, employers, and vocational services to place individuals, coach clients, and document progress while promoting inclusive community employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
• Two years of relevant experience with IDD exposure; leadership experience preferred.
• Active driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships to secure employment opportunities.
• Develop a pipeline with school districts for pre-employment transition services.
• Coordinate with districts and colleges to promote transition services.
• Perform as a job coach for a caseload of clients, including career counseling and job readiness.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance.
