Job summary

InAlliance is seeking compassionate Employment Training Specialists to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across community-based settings, including job sites, volunteering, and recreational activities.

You will help develop independence, confidence, and life skills while ensuring safety and rights advocacy. The role offers a competitive compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: At least two years of direct instructional experience with adults with IDD
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in community-based activities, including employment, volunteering, recreation, and social engagements.
• Assist individuals at job sites with on-the-job training and building workplace skills.
• Develop life skills like communication, social interaction, problem solving, and daily living.
• Ensure safety and advocate for the needs and rights of individuals.
• Provide personal care assistance as needed.
• Maintain daily activity notes and incident records.
• Collaborate with families, supervisors, and professionals on support plans.
• Safely transport individuals to activities and appointments.
• Implement positive behavioral strategies.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current.
