Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of highly specialized clerical experience involving public contact regarding property tax assessment practices and procedures.
• One year of experience working for an elected official as a field representative performing public-facing duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in investigating and making recommendations on routine property tax assessment complaints.
• Answer inquiries from customers, constituents, taxpayers or public agencies and draft correspondence on property tax matters.
• Collaborate with Auditor-Controller, Board of Supervisors, and Treasurer/Tax Collector to expedite problem resolution.
• Maintain records to ensure timely handling of complaints and inquiries.
• Assist in issuing press releases from the Assessor's Office.
