Job summary

Crescent City Schools is recruiting an ELL Teacher for our New Orleans campuses. This in-person role focuses on advancing English language learners through targeted instruction and collaborative planning with grade-level teams. You will engage families, utilize data to drive progress, and contribute to a positive school culture.

You will participate in regular meetings, implement feedback, and support students across varying ages in a dynamic charter school environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction that advances English Language Learners
• Lesson planning for small groups of English Language Learners of varying ages
• Communicating with parents/guardians about student progress
• Quickly implementing feedback and goal-setting into lesson delivery
• Collaborating with teammates in grade-level and subject-level teams
• Participating in the life of the school, including student activities and events
• Maintaining a classroom culture conducive to student achievement
• Using data to track student achievement and to constantly improve practice
• Participating in daily, weekly, and quarterly meetings about student achievement
• Embodying, advocating, and operationalizing the mission, vision, and direction of the school
• Taking on other tasks as needed
