Job summary

The Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking a motivated professional to join the Family Support Services team. You will support Energy, Work First, Childcare, and Application Assignment efforts with strong communication and customer service skills.

The role requires adaptability in a fast-paced setting, data gathering and analysis, and the ability to work across locations as needed. High school diploma or GED with relevant experience is required, with higher education viewed

Qualifications

Graduation from high school or GED and two years of paraprofessional or clerical public contact experience including negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling data, analysis, and/or performance of mathematical or legal tasks.
Or graduation from high school or GED and one year of experience in an income maintenance program.
A higher education level may substitute all or part of the experience requirement.
Ability to guide and determine eligibility for CIP or LIEAP; use NCFAST and other systems; work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and determine eligibility for customers requesting services such as CIP or LIEAP.
Utilize universal computer technology such as Microsoft Office, NCFAST, a web-based reception system, and Laserfiche Document Management system.
Utilize de-escalation skills when appropriate and thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
