Job summary

Smart Start of Forsyth County is seeking a Family Support Coordinator to lead day-to-day operations for Forsyth Families Strong, including recruitment, intake, scheduling, and coordination with MALE/FEL staff. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Director of Development & Community Engagement and requires strong organization and community engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, family studies, psychology, or a related field is required; Master’s preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in family support, parent education, case management, or community-based human services.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; valid NC driver's license and ability to travel locally throughout Forsyth County.

Responsibilities

Lead recruitment, intake, enrollment, and scheduling across all cohorts.
Coordinate with MALE/FEL staff to co-facilitate Incredible Years and Triple P sessions.
Track attendance, maintain case notes, and referral records per requirements.
Conduct follow-up at 2–4 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months when feasible.
Screen families for basic needs and connect to housing, food, transportation, and behavioral health resources.
