• Guide learning toward district curriculum goals and set clear objectives
• Prepare for classes and document preparation as required
• Use varied instructional techniques and media to suit location and students
• Support district educational goals and performance expectations
• Assess student progress regularly and communicate with parents as needed
• Maintain accurate records per law and district policy
• Diagnose learning challenges and consult district specialists as needed
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
• Follow SPS code of conduct and develop fair classroom rules
• Plan and supervise paraprofessional work and write evaluations
• Engage in ongoing professional growth per district requirements
• Participate in the teacher evaluation process and share results
• Attend meetings for communication and mutual decision making
• Attend school activities as per contract guidelines
• Contribute to district and school budget, facilities, curriculum decisions
• Strive to maintain and improve professional competence
