Job summary

Clarenceville School District is seeking an Elementary School General Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. You will work directly with classroom teachers to support instruction for individuals and small groups, including IEP-supported students, in our elementary schools.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's or Bachelor's degree (60+ credits) or a valid Michigan Paraprofessional Certification, strong communication skills, and a caring, team-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree (60+ college credits) or Michigan Paraprofessional Certification.
• Passion for working with children and supporting growth.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with students, parents, staff and community in dynamic environment.
• NCI training completion, preferred.
• Experience with diverse learning needs and behavior support.
• School-based or classroom experience preferred but not required.
• Team-first mindset and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with classroom teachers to support instruction for individuals and small groups
• Help implement lesson plans, learning activities, and behavior support strategies
• Provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs, including IEP-supported students
• Monitor and document student progress, and communicate observations to the classroom teacher
• Assist with classroom management, transitions, and day-to-day operations
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for every student
