Job summary

Springfield Public Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant - Behavior & Instruction at Ridgeview Elementary School. The position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

during the school year, for 6 hours daily, with a salary range of $19.62–$25.82 per hour and a generous benefits plan. Minimum qualifications include an associates degree or higher (or equivalent), with options for two years of post-secondary study or a GED plus related credential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher preferred; alternative credentials accepted.
• Two years post-secondary study (72 credit hours) qualifies.
• GED and related para-professional knowledge accepted with requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to teachers in various settings.
• Assist with behavior management and social/emotional support.
• Support students 1:1, in small groups, and in general education.
• Complete district logs, forms and attendance as required.
• Prepare materials and assist with data entry and recordkeeping.
