Job summary

Ampact's Early Learning Corps is seeking an Early Learning Tutor to work in a pre-kindergarten classroom, delivering proven activities and coaching students to build early literacy and math skills. You’ll partner with a teacher to enhance learning through talking, reading, writing, singing, or playing.

Full training will be provided; you’ll track progress, participate in coaching and training, and contribute to community sharing. This AmeriCorps role emphasizes service and impact.

Qualifications

• Fluent English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into tracking software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share experience with the community.
