Job summary

The Alliance For Infants and Toddlers Inc. seeks a Service Coordinator to provide coordination across Allegheny County for families with young children eligible for Early Intervention.

You will engage with families, physicians, and community partners to ensure timely screenings, assessments, and access to services. Responsibilities include developing IFSPs, coordinating resources, and supporting families through the EI process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early intervention, early childhood education, child development, family counseling, psychology or related field with 1 year of related experience OR associate degree with 3 years related experience.
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing PA Early Intervention program.
• Ability to administer and interpret child and family assessment instruments.
• Ability to maintain records and documents according to agency policies.

Responsibilities

• Explain Early Intervention services to families in Allegheny County.
• Coordinate and schedule screenings and assessments.
• Identify and coordinate community resources and services for child and family.
• Coordinate with medical and health providers.
• Monitor child and family needs via assessments and interviews.
• Provide parent education and support.
• Develop and review the Service Coordination/IFSP.
• Monitor service delivery and communicate with providers.
• Explain parent rights and procedural safeguards.
• Plan transition to preschool services.
• Attend team and staff meetings and required trainings.
• Maintain productivity and complete paperwork within timelines.
