Job summary

BakerRipley is hiring an Early Head Start teacher to work with infants and toddlers in a center-based program. You will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities, and supervise daily routines to support growth in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains.

You will collaborate with a team, schedule home visits and parent conferences, and document child progress in the GOLD system, while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment per Head Start guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current Infant/Toddler CDA required.
• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of Head Start standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers.
• Create a safe, healthy, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Develop individualized goals for each child and document progress.
• Screen, observe, and record progress in the GOLD online assessment system.
• Schedule home visits and parent-teacher conferences as needed.
• Collaborate with the Early Head Start Mentor Teacher on curriculum planning.
• Encourage parental involvement in all aspects of the program.
