Job summary

Save the Children US is hiring an Early Head Start Teacher to develop and implement individualized and group plans for infants and toddlers, promoting social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. The role works with a co‑Teacher to lead activities and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will build strong family partnerships, maintain records, and support program quality while reporting to the Center Director or Manager, Education & Inclusion.

Qualifications

• CDA or associate degree in child development or related field with preschool teaching experience.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with teams to provide high-quality services to children and families.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow directives.
• Willingness to participate in required safety trainings including first aid and pediatric CPR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans for infants and toddlers.
• Lead classroom activities in collaboration with a co‑Teacher.
• Verify compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and privacy of children and families.
• Engage families and build partnerships to support child development.
• Ensure safety and a developmentally appropriate learning environment.
