Job summary

Macomb Community Action seeks a dedicated Teacher Aide to support Head Start goals and prepare children and families for development and readiness. You will assist in daily classroom activities, data entry, and compliance with licensing standards.

The role is full-time in Michigan, with benefits, and requires a high school diploma or GED. CDA credential progress is expected within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• Must enroll in a CDA credential program within two years of hire and maintain certification.
• Preferred: Associate degree in early childhood education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Start program goals and readiness skills.
• Assist in recruiting, registration and screenings for children.
• Maintain safe, clean classroom aligned with licensing standards.
• Enter and manage data on program software.
