Job summary

Macomb County Government is seeking a Teacher Aide (Full-time) to support the Head Start program. Under supervision, you will assist in preparing children and families by meeting program goals, ensuring readiness skills and development while complying with licensing standards.

Responsibilities include interacting with children and families, encouraging exploration, supporting parents, maintaining a safe classroom, and data entry. Travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Willing to enroll in a CDA credential program within 2 years.
• Associate degree and/or CDA preferred and valued.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children and families daily to support program goals.
• Encourage exploration, decision making and language development.
• Maintain a safe, clean classroom and comply with Head Start standards.
• Collect and enter data on services provided using program software.
• Travel between classroom sites as assigned.
