Job summary

The State of South Carolina's BHDD and OIDD seek a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help with daily living activities, follow treatment plans, and participate in team meetings to support wellness and safety.

Responsibilities include data collection, transportation, and ensuring a safe environment, with overtime as needed to maintain consumer safety and program integrity.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations and basic safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Follow behavior support plans, dining, lifting, and activity protocols.
• Document data accurately and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Transport and monitor consumers to and from appointments and activities.
• Report significant events and suspected abuse per policies.
