Job summary

State of South Carolina, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD), Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (OIDD) in Columbia, seeks Workforce Specialists to guide individuals and families toward long-term wellness.

You will supervise Direct Support Professionals and ensure safe, supportive environments with proper documentation and activities of daily living support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 1 year of direct support experience, bachelor's degree may substitute.
• Knowledge of Therap and SCEIS Central for time and leave purposes.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to work in an ICF-IID.
• Administrative abilities and knowledge of intellectual disabilities.
• Basic safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and supervises Consumers in vocational training programs.
• Provides guidance to Direct Support Professionals.
• Ensures health, safety and accountability of individuals with disabilities.
• Implements services in group settings across leisure, vocational, pre-vocational and daily living skills.
• Completes assessments and monitors progress; revises programs as needed.
• Provides training in self-help skills and serves as coverage staff.
• Maintains accurate documentation (objectives, attendance, payroll).
• Transports consumers to programs and appointments; ensures safety.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
