Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in Colerain, NC and surrounding areas. This part-time afternoon role supports daily living tasks and helps clients achieve personal goals.

Responsibilities include in-home and community care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, transportation to appointments, and daily documentation in our electronic health record.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the client’s home and community.
• Assist with daily tasks: housekeeping, meal prep, cooking, cleaning; personal care.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands.
• Plan and organize client schedule.
• Daily documentation in the electronic health record.
