Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Clayton, NC to assist individuals with IDD in completing daily living tasks and reaching goals. This part-time role offers after-school hours and weekends with local travel as needed.

You will provide home and community-based care, support with daily tasks, transportation, scheduling, and documentation in the health system. Training in CPR/First Aid and safety is provided.

Qualifications

• Entry-level; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community setting.
• Assist with housekeeping, meals, personal care, and employment support.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize daily schedules.
• Document daily activities in the electronic health record.
