Job summary

Amego Inc. in Northboro is seeking a Developmental Specialist to support members in Day Hab, implement the DHSP, and collaborate with families and staff to meet program goals.

Responsibilities include supervision and training, data collection, and promoting self-help and independence. Pay rate ranges from $22.50 to $25.50 per hour. Amego is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of work experience in a healthcare or developmental disabilities setting.
• Must maintain a current, valid Massachusetts or Rhode Island Driver’s License.
• MAP certification is preferred and highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide input into member’s Service Need assessments, goals, DHSP and methods for implementation.
• Participate in intake and orientation for new members; assist in planning transitions and documenting progress.
• Ensure implementation of DHSP goals and data collection; document monthly progress notes.
• Instruct, counsel and supervise members in self-help, independent living, communication, socialization, and safety skills.
• Maintain learning environment; ensure paraprofessionals engage members according to learning styles.
• Participate in schedules and ensure an active treatment environment in line with DHSP goals.
