Job summary

Amego in Northborough, MA is seeking a Developmental Specialist to support Day Hab members and implement the Day Hab Service Plan. This role emphasizes evaluation, planning, and collaboration with staff, families and funding sources to deliver person-centered supports.

Responsibilities include direct care, supervision and training, data collection, and maintaining effective communication within the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality services in a daytime program setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least two years in healthcare or developmental disabilities setting.
• Strong writing skills and effective communication.
• Must have MA or RI valid driver’s license.
• MAP certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and input member DHSP goals/objectives and plan methods for implementation.
• Provide direct supervision and training of members in daily activities.
• Support intake and orientation for new members and assist in transitions.
• Ensure DHSP goals/objectives are implemented and data are collected; document progress.
• Instruct and supervise members in self-help, communication, socialization, and safety skills.
• Coordinate with families, funding sources and program staff to meet service needs.
