Job summary

Emancipet in Austin, TX is seeking a Development Manager to support donor engagement, mid-level and recurring giving, events, and development operations. You will work closely with the Senior Director of Development to grow fundraising programs, steward donors, and coordinate fundraising materials.

This role emphasizes relationship-building, project management, and cross‑functional collaboration across DevCom to turn ideas into action and expand Emancipet’s mission of affordable veterinary care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of nonprofit development or fundraising experience.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience with donor database/CRM.
• Comfort communicating with donors, partners and volunteers.
• Collaborative attitude and mission alignment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Director of Development in donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
• Grow a mid-level donor portfolio and recurring giving programs.
• Plan and execute Emancipet’s fundraising events and donor engagements.
• Support development operations: gift tracking, reporting, and portfolio management.
• Assist with prospect research, meetings, and donor lists as needed.
