Job summary

LEAD Public Schools is seeking a high school Spanish teacher who will design rigorous unit plans and implement lessons aligned to Tennessee standards. You will collaborate with teammates, engage in coaching to improve instructional practice, and support students needing the most help while handling typical school duties.

The ideal candidate holds a Tennessee teaching license or eligible transfer, with a passion for equity and student success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Candidates must have either a valid Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate Spanish endorsement, or a valid out of state license transferable to Tennessee within 90 days, or demonstrate progress toward certification in Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement rigorous unit plans and lessons aligned to standards with clear objectives and assessments.
• Participate in bi-weekly coaching meetings to refine content, teaching moves, and classroom management.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, content teams, and professional development activities throughout the year.
• perform school-based duties including student conferences, arrivals/dismissals, transitions, lunch duties, and other assignments.
