Job summary

LEAD Public Schools is seeking an English Language Learner (ELL) teacher to support middle and high school students as they develop proficiency in English and meet Tennessee standards by year’s end.

You will collaborate with teams to design rigorous lessons, participate in coaching, and contribute to a performance-based compensation model with benefits including medical, retirement options, and a signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Flexible, coachable, and willing to grow as a teacher.
• Experience with diverse student populations or urban settings is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; Tennessee teaching license or transferable out-of-state license within 90 days, or on track to certification.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement rigorous unit plans and lessons with aligned objectives and assessments.
• Participate in bi-weekly coaching meetings to improve practice and classroom management.
• Collaborate with grade levels, content teams, and PD throughout the school year.
• Execute school-based duties (conferences, arrivals/dismissals, transitions, lunch duty) as assigned.
